Event Description

ISO 45001:2018 is an international standard that specifics requirements for an occupational health and safety (OH&S) management system. The new standard will replace OHSAS 18001 and it is expected that organizations currently holding OHSAS 18001 certification will have 3 years (from 12 Mar 2018) to recertify to the requirements in the new standard to fulfil the growing expectations for occupational health & safety management.

 

As an IRCA accredited training organization, TUV Rheinland offers IRCA certified auditor training courses based on a wide range of management systems and industrial standards. Our expert helps you to provide additional knowledge, skills, format qualification and being a professional auditor for ISO45001:2018 in accordance with CQI IRCA.

Course Content

  • Repetition of audit basics and standard knowledge (ISO 45001: 2018)
  • Guidelines for audits (ISO 19011 and ISO 17021) planning, preparation and implementation conducting audits
  •  Monitoring activities, follow-up
  • Communication as an auditor
  • Questioning techniques, opening of the audit, exam questions, active listening, communication problems
  • Interfaces between occupational safety and health (OH&S), environmental and quality management systems in auditing
  • Examination

 
During the examination participants prove their knowledge in the following areas:

  • ISO 45001 ff.
  • State of the standard definition for Occupational Health & Safety Management
  • Adoption of Annex SL, understanding of HLS
  • Context of the organisation
  • Leadership and worker participation
  • Risk-based thinking and process approach
  • Preventing ill-health and injury
  • Legal fundamentals / corporate responsibility
  • Fundamentals of operational management systems
  • Integration into other management systems
  • Document management
  • Documentation of an Occupational Health & Safety Management System.

 

Successful graduates are in a position to build and implement an Occupational Health & Safety Management System based on ISO 45001:2018 standard. You will also obtain a certificate that gives you, as an auditor, the ability to operate internationally and to take full advantage of this worldwide recognition for your company and yourself.

 

Who should attend?

Experienced OHS auditors as well as environmental and quality management auditors with occupational safety background who wish to carry out audits for internationally operating companies or wish to take over this task in the future. This course is also applicable to professionals who want to obtain a formal qualification relating to the Lead Audit (OHS) discipline or want to become a Certified Lead Auditor (OHS) accredited by the Chartered Quality Institute (CQI) and the International Register of Certificated Auditors (IRCA).
