At this year’s Summit we are pleased to announce that keynote presentations will be given by Condé Nast and Xaxis. From Condé Nast, Chris Guenther, Vice President of Digital Operations & Monetization, will be flying especially from the US to discuss how the premium publisher is developing its technology stack and programmatic strategy to compete in today’s market. Meanwhile, our second keynote will be given by Michel de Rijk, Managing Director, Asia Pacific, Xaxis who will be highlighting their experiences in Japan and across Asia to show how data is driving digital advertising.

Denise Colella, CEO, Maxifier

With 14 years ad tech experience, Denise has a track record of growing fast emerging technology businesses, at both a global and revenue level.

Prior to Maxifier, Colella served as the CRO for AudienceScience where she led all of the company’s revenue producing operations in the US, Europe and Asia. Previously she was Vice President, International, at Right Media, a Yahoo! company, where she developed and executed on the company’s international expansion strategy for its advertising exchange. Denise has also held senior positions at multi-channel analytics platform, Blackfoot, Inc., leading transactional cooperative database company Abacus, and DoubleClick in Asia.

A seasoned global traveler who is fluent in Japanese, Colella has worked in the US, Asia and Europe. She received a Bachelors degree in Commerce, Finance and International Management from Villanova University and a Masters of Computer Systems Management from the University of Maryland.

Chris Guenther, Vice President of Digital Operations & Monetization, Condé Nast

Chris Guenther is Vice President of Digital Operations & Monetization of Condé Nast. This group is comprised of the Ad Operations, Revenue Operations, Programmatic Trading and Financial Planning & Analysis teams. These teams work across all the digital businesses (both web and mobile) of every Brand of Condé Nast to ensure both top-line and bottom-line growth.

Mr. Guenther previously served as head of Business Development for the Wall Street Journal Digital Network, as well as in the Corporate Strategy and Franchise Development groups of Dow Jones. Prior to that, he was an associate at the Jordan Edmiston Group, a boutique investment bank focused on media. He has a master’s degree in business from Columbia University and a bachelor’s degree from Colgate University.

Rajeev Goel, Co-Founder and CEO, PubMatic

Rajeev Goel co-founded PubMatic in 2006 to give premium publishers a real-time selling platform for managing their revenue and brand strategy. As Co-Founder and CEO, Rajeev is responsible for PubMatic's business strategy. Under his leadership, the company's revenue has grown 33 times in the past two years, attracting a rapidly expanding roster of premium, branded publishers.

Before PubMatic, Rajeev co-founded Chipshot.com, a leading online retailer of custom-built golf equipment, where he served as Vice President of Technology. At Chipshot, Rajeev led product management and development, helping grow the company into a $30 million business. An experienced management consultant, he was a Principal at Diamond Management and Technology Consultants, an IT strategy consulting firm for Fortune 2000 clients, where he led teams on IT strategy engagements. Before founding PubMatic, Rajeev was a Product Marketing executive at SAP, where he was responsible for global go-to-market strategy for new products.

1982  Bachelor’s Degree in English and American Literature, Department of Literature, Aoyama Gakuin University. Joins Asahi Tsushin-sha Inc. (present Asatsu-DK Inc.).
1996  Co-founded and becomes the Vice President of Digital Advertising Consortium, a media rep business for online advertising.
2001  DAC gets publicly listed. He contributes to driving the adoption and systemizing of online advertising in its formative years.
2008  ADK Interactive Inc. is established and he becomes its President. The company introduces the concept of triple media which reorganized marketing media into Paid, Owned and Earned (POE).
2011  Becomes the President of Digital Intelligence Inc. in July.
2012  Becomes the Independent Director of 1-10 Holdings, Inc. in April.

Michel de Rijk, Managing Director, APAC, Xaxis

Michel de Rijk is Managing Director, Asia-Pacific of Xaxis. As Managing Director, Michel is responsible for Xaxis strategy and operations throughout the region, our fastest growing, including account management, trading, publisher relations and partnerships.

Prior to his current role as Managing Director, Michel served as Vice President for technology company EyeWonder in Asia Pacific, the Middle East, Dubai UAE as well as Singapore, and successfully launched their operations in the Asia-Pacific, Benelux and Middle East regions.

During his 4 years with EyeWonder, Michel served in several roles throughout those regions and introduced the first ad-view-time metrics to gain insights into the actual visibility of an ad. This development initiated discussions between publishers and agencies to define the true value of an ad impression.

Before joining EyeWonder, Michel worked as a Manager of Online Media Sales and Business Development for De Telefoongids in 2005, a leading publisher in the Netherlands, where he managed their online media sales team.

Since joining Xaxis in 2012, Michel has successfully launched Xaxis operations in a total of 13 markets in Asia Pacific. Also playing a key role during the merger with 24/7 Media early 2014, Michel now manages a strong team of 180+ employees across the region.

Michel currently sits on the board of directors of WPP and Dentsu’s joint venture companies – DTSi in Korea and DASL in Japan.

A native Dutch, Michel has more than 10 years of international business experience and continues to hold an extensive network in Europe, Middle East and Asia Pacific region.

Norihide Akiba, CEO & President, Platform One Inc.

Mr. Akiba joined Digital Advertising Consortium (DAC) in February 2000 where he later became the Manger of Internet Media for the Media Division. In December 2009, he was appointed General Manager of Sales Development for the Sales Division and in April 2010 he assumed the role of the Senior Manager for the Sales Division. Mr. Akiba became the CEO & President of Platform One in June 2014.

Hiroshi Kondo, President and CEO, EAGLE i

Mr. Kondo joined Septeni Co., Ltd in 2001. After working as a sales executive and sales manager, he was appointed as the head of the media division. In 2008 he helped establish the ad network division and became director. Here he was responsible for media buying, planning, and consulting activities for the ad network, overseeing the company’s original ad network “Spider!” from product development to sales. In January 2012, after leading the display ad team, with a particular focus on targeted advertising, Mr. Kondo founded and became president of EAGLE i, an ad network business and subsidiary of Septeni Holdings Co. Ltd.

Takumi Tomita, Director, Mediabrands Audience Platform

After obtaining and degree from Keio University in Strategic Management, Takumi Tomita joined DAC (Digital Advertising Consortium). In 2011, he participated in the MarketOneRTB (Japanese DSP) launch project and developed sales strategy. He joined Mediabrands Audience Platform (MAP) in 2013, the IPG Mediabrands unit responsible for enabling the products and advertising technologies that support its programmatic practices across all global markets. He has been providing strategic advertisement technology solutions including PrivateExchange, DMP, and DSP to both Japanese and international clients.

Jocelyn Hayashi, VP, Global Account Strategy, MediaMath

As VP, Global Account Strategy at MediaMath, Jocelyn Hayashi is responsible for driving global and regional success for marketers across a number of strategic client accounts. Hayashi manages teams in London, Singapore and New York, utilising her extensive experience in building teams, developing new markets, and consulting publishers and agencies on advertising operations.

Hayashi has over 15 years previous experience in online marketing, technical services and localisation. She worked at DoubleClick, prior to its acquisition by Google, where she then went on to hold a range of senior positions including Head of Publisher and Distribution Solutions, Japan, and Head of APAC Media and Platform Solutions.

Jocelyn gained a BA in Linguistics at Syracuse University in New York, and is fluent in English, Japanese and speaks conversational Chinese (Mandarin).

Tetsuyoshi Yano , Planning & Trading Division Manager, Omnibus

In 2006, Tetsuyoshi started working for an independent advertising agency as an account planner/strategic planner, focusing on promotions mainly targeted at a mass media audience.

From 2008, he worked as an account planner at an online advertising agency, developing proposals that encompassed operations, analytics, and sales and singlehandedly managed the entire online advertising process, including measurement and analysis.

Tetsuyoshi joined Omnibus in 2012 to take on his current role.

PubMatic 日本カントリーマネジャー 前川 洋輔

Yosuke Maekawa, Country Manager, Japan, PubMatic

Yosuke Maekawa recently joined PubMatic as the company’s first Country Manager for Japan, bringing over ten years of experience in the Japanese digital advertising industry. Prior to joining PubMatic, Yosuke led comScore Japan KK, where he spent four years expanding the research firm’s operations and increasing its brand awareness and customer portfolio. Prior to comScore, Yosuke worked at Yahoo!, Inc., which he joined through the company’s 2005 acquisition of Overture Services, a commercial search services company.

In 2007, Yosuke transitioned to APAC operations at Yahoo!, Inc., where he was responsible for increasing efficiencies and operations by working with major global ad agencies and brands like Dentsu and WPP group companies.

Ben Kartzman, CEO & Co-Founder, Spongecell

Ben Kartzman is CEO and co-founder of Spongecell. Under Ben’s leadership, Spongecell has become one of the fastest-growing companies in the United States. Before co-founding Spongecell, Ben worked at venture-backed Guidester (now part of RichRelevance) in product and business development. Prior to that, Ben worked in consulting, first at Bridgeline Software and then at Accenture. Ben graduated with honors from Carnegie Mellon with a dual BS in Human Computer Interaction and Information & Decision Systems.

Maxifier日本カントリー・マネージャー 佐藤 友幸

Tomoyuki Sato, Country Manager, Maxifier

Tomo joined Maxifier in April 2012 as Japan Country Manager, helping launch the business there. He is responsible for establishing business development, account management and technical support, while developing Japan into a hub to support other Asian regions.

Tomo previously worked at AudienceScience in Tokyo where, as Associate Director Strategic Accounts, his responsibilities included both pre-sales activity as well as providing support for its top tier clients.

Prior to this he was one of the first employees at Right Media in Japan, helping launch its Exchange into the Japanese market in 2008. He has also worked for Overture Japan, selling technology solutions, and DoubleClick Japan.

Tomo has over 15 years online advertising and technology experience encompassing data management platforms, exchanges, networks, SEM and e-mail marketing.
