Profile
Prof Gerald Koh is the Clinical Director for Future Primary Care in MOH Office for Healthcare Transformation (MOHT). His area of focus is the transformation of primary care using tele-health, novel diagnostic tools and new models of careas enablers. He works with stakeholders from public polyclinics and private general practitioners to ensure that potential solutions that empower patients and providers to improve quality of care can be rapidly prototyped and tested. His research interests include tele-health in primary care, post-stroke rehabilitation and community geriatrics, health services research and medical education through community service. He is also currently a Professor at the Saw Swee Hock School of Public Health (SSHSPH) and holds a concurrent appointment as Joint Associate Professor, Dean's Office, Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore (NUS).
Summary of Speech:
The Primary Technology Enhanced Care (PTEC) programme trialled the use of a home monitoring kit for hypertensive patients, within an integrated care delivery system that brings about better management and outcomes. Patients are empowered to manage their conditions independently, while building a trusted relationship with their care team.

Thanaruk Theeramunkong is currently a professor at School of Information, Computer and Communication Technology at Sirindhorn International Institute of Technology (SIIT) at Thammasat University, Bangkok, Thailand. He is the Program Director of Information and Communication Technology for Embedded Systems (ICTES) at TAIST Tokyo Tech, National Science and Technology Development Agency (NSTDA). He is also an Associate Fellow, Academy of Science, the Royal Society of Thailand. As a professional society, He is the president of Artificial Intelligence Association of Thailand. He serves as an academic committee to the Industrial Section, National Research Council of Thailand (NRCT).
He received his bachelor degree in Electric and Electronics Engineering, master and doctoral degrees in Computer Science from Tokyo Institute of Technology. He was a research associate at Japan Advanced Institute of Science and Technology in Japan and a MIS manager at C.P. Seven Eleven Public Co., Ltd. in Thailand. He got several awards, including the Very Good Research Award in engineering field from Thammasat University in 2008, 2009 and 2010. Recently, in 2014, he has received the National Outstanding Researcher Award in the field of Information Technology and Communication Arts. He also got several best paper awards from conferences and societies, including the Japanese Society for Artificial Intelligence, PAKDD workshops, and KICSS. In 2015, he also got a Gold Medal with the Congratulations of the Jury from the 43rd International Exhibition of Inventions of Geneva for the inventions of automatic semantic-based multi-document summarization and application to public hearing. Later in 2019, He also got four medals (1 gold, 1 silver, 2 bronzes) from the 47th International Exhibition of Inventions of Geneva. His research interests are natural language processing, data mining, text mining, machine learning and applications to service science. He was an associate editor of the Institute of Electronics, Information and Communication Engineers (IEICE). He is a member of the Steering Committee of the Pacific-Asia Conferences on Knowledge Discovery and Data Mining (PAKDD) and a member of the Steering Committee of the Pacific Rim International Conferences on Artificial Intelligence (PRICAI). Ryohei Gamada is a senior economist in JETRO Bangkok since Mar 2017. Since 2010 when he assigned to Deputy Representative of AEM-METI Economic and Industrial Cooperation Committee (AMEICC) Secretariat, he has developed his carrier as a specialist of ASEAN regional integration, policy recommendation development in regional economic issues, as well as Japanese business strategy analysis in ASEAN.

Dr. Watcharas Leelawath serves his second term as the Executive Director of Mekong Institute (MI). Prior to joining MI, he was the Deputy Executive Director of the International Institute for Trade and Development (ITD). Before coming back to Thailand, he worked as Assistant Professor of Economics at the University of Minnesota, Morris, USA where he taught International Economics and Mathematics for Economists.
He is a trade economist with a strong interest in trade and development cooperation issues under GMS and ASEAN frameworks. INAMURA Takuma is Director of the Healthcare Industries Division at METI (Ministry of Economy Trade and Industry) of Japan.
He joined METI in 1998 and has mostly worked on policy making in areas such as energy,international trade and manufacturing industries. Before taking up his current position, hewas the director in charge of a drastic revision of the Japanese legislation on the electricitysupply business in order to enable the cost effective deployment of renewable energy andsustainable investment in the power grid system. He also has government-wide experiencethrough his secondment to other Japanese ministries including the Ministry of ForeignAffairs (an Economy Counselor at the Permanent Delegation of Japan to the OECD) andMinistry of Finance (a Deputy Director in charge of port and airport construction publicworks with an annual budget of 1 trillion yen).

Profile:
Prof. Dean Ho is Provost’s Chair Professor, Director of The N.1 Institute for Health (N.1), Director of the Institute for Digital Medicine (WisDM), and Head of the Department of Biomedical Engineering at the National University of Singapore.
Using his CURATE.AI platform, Prof. Ho has led multiple pioneering clinical studies that have validated the promise of N-of-1 medicine, where only a patient’s own data is used to personalise their treatment for the entire duration of care. Multiple CURATE.AI-based clinical studies are ongoing or cleared for start in the areas of solid cancer and blood cancer therapy, digital therapeutics/personalised learning, and post-organ transplant immunosuppression, among others.
Prof. Ho is an elected member of the US National Academy of Inventors (NAI). Election to the NAI is the highest professional honor for academic inventors. He is also a Fellow of the American Institute of Medical and Biological Engineering (AIMBE) and Society for Laboratory Automation and Screening, as well as a Fulbright Scholar. He is also a recipient of the NSF CAREER Award, Wallace H. Coulter Foundation Translational Research Award, and V Foundation for Cancer Research Scholar Award, among others. Prof. Ho was recently named to the Asia Tatler Gen.T List, which honours young leaders who are shaping the future of the region. Prof. Ho has appeared on the National Geographic Channel Program “Known Universe” to discuss his discoveries in drug delivery and imaging. His discoveries have been featured on CNN, The Economist, Forbes, Washington Post, NPR and other international news outlets. Dr Stephanie Allen is the Global Healthcare leader for Deloitte. Stephanie has over 20 years’ experience in healthcare and has worked extensively in the UK, Australia, and across the Asia Pacific region. As a senior partner, she leads some of our most strategic and complex healthcare projects globally. Stephanie is the lead Partner on Deloitte’s collaboration with the World Economic Forum on disruptive technologies and mental health. This work has been extensively relied upon during COVID-19. She also led our work with the World Health Organization on the design and delivery of a COVID-19 Recovery Dashboard. This dashboard brings together health and economic data in real time to enable countries to make more informed decisions about how they can minimise infection rates and reduce the detrimental impact of social interventions on their economies.

Mr Johnny Teo was appointed Executive Director for the Food, Healthcare &Biomedical cluster as well as the Global Markets Executive Director overseeingthe Northeast Asia and Oceania regions in Jan 2020. Prior to this, he had beenthe Director overseeing both the Healthcare & Biomedical cluster as well as theNortheast Asia and Oceania regions, following the set-up of Enterprise Singaporein 2018.
Prior to Enterprise Singapore’s establishment, Johnny had held positions overseeingvarious emerging sectors under SPRING Singapore, as well as its early-stageinvestment arm SPRING SEEDS Capital.
Johnny also holds a Masters in Chemical Engineering from the Imperial College in the UK.

Milind has over a decade of consulting experience engaging global clients in theUS, the UK and Asia Pacific. He specializes in strategy consulting, M&As, andpublic-private partnerships. He has advised top pharmaceutical/biotechcompanies, medical device companies, hospital groups, and ministries on marketentry strategies, product lifecycle management, and marketing strategies thathave positively impacted these organizations. While with the World healthOrganization, he received the best innovation award for introducing ”ActiveSurveillance of Polio” amongst other strategies to stop Polio transmission in oneof the 3 high risk regions in the world.
He has spoken at and chaired multiple industry conferences and has been quotedin multiple industry magazines and journals. He has also been interviewed byvarious media, including BBC, CNBC, CNA.
He holds a Masters in Business Administration from the University of Cambridge,United Kingdom, a Doctor of Medicine specialising in Preventive Medicine fromthe University of Mumbai and a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgeryfrom University of Mumbai.
