講演スライドは、事前ご案内の通り、PGConf.ASIA の Web で公開しておりますが、今後も新規公開や更新等の可能性がございます。変更があり次第、随時お知らせいたします。

いよいよ、明日から、PGConf.ASAI 2016 のカンファレンスがスタートです！

明日の受付は、9:00 頃から開始する予定です。初日の2日は、200名以上のお客様が来場予定のため、受付が混雑することが考えられます。9:45 ころまでに会場にお越しいただければ幸いです。受付の際に、参加証が必要になりますので、印刷してお持ちいただくか、スマートフォンの画面でお見せいただくようお願いいたします。

講演資料の印刷配布の予定はございません。（一部のセッションではあるかも）公開可能な資料は、Webに掲載いたします。

会場では、Wi-Fi もご利用いただけますので、資料をご覧になりながらセッションを聴講したい方は、スマートフォン、タブレット、ノートパソコンなどを持参ください。（電源は原則ご利用いただけません）

基調講演が変更になりました。

基調講演の1つめに予定していた、Bruce Momjian 氏の「PostgreSQL のこれまでとこれから」は、Peter van Hardenberg 氏の「PostgreSQLの歴史」という講演に変更になりました。

これは、すでに講演が決定していた Peter 氏の講演内容と Bruce 氏の講演内容が類似していたためで、Bruce 氏には、DAY2 に「YeSQL: NoSQL Hype Cycle と Postgres との戦い」にて講演いただくことになりました。

学生の方向けに、DAY1 Conference, DAY2 Tutorial の参加を無料にしました。(DAY2 Tutorial に加えて DAY1 Conference も無料にしています。）ぜひ、ご利用ください。当日、受付で、学生証のご提示が必要になりますので、忘れずにご持参ください。

In recent years, the PostgreSQL conferences have been held in the world. There are many domestic-oriented events, but the events with an awareness of international conference are also increasing. PGConf.ASIA 2016 is an international conference of PostgreSQL with the concept celebrating the 20 anniversary of PostgreSQL. Japan is extensive and advanced in the use of PostgreSQL in the world-wide. We expect the development of the international conference in Asia, so this conference was named ASIA. Although this is the first time held, no matter what the future holds, we hope that this conference is able to provide an opportunity for developers around the world and Japanese users to exchange new ideas and experiences.

近年、世界中でPostgreSQLのカンファレンスが開催されています。各国のローカル言語のみでのイベントも数多くありますが、国際カンファレンスを意識したイベントも数多くなってきました。PGConf.ASIA 2016 は、PostgreSQLの国際カンファレンスとして、PostgreSQLの生誕20周年を祝おう！というコンセプトから開始しました。PostgreSQLの利用はワールドワイドで見ても先進的で数多くの利用があると思われる日本において、アジア地区を代表する国際カンファレンスへの発展を期待して、ASIA という名前をつけました。今回が初の開催で、今後がどうなるかはまだわかりませんが、日本で、世界中のPostgreSQL開発者と日本のユーザの交流の場になればと考えています。
