国際シンポジウム「建築キュレーションを建ちあげる」

森美術館では、⽇本を拠点に活動する中堅・若⼿キュレーターの育成を⽬的とした「グローバル・アート・プロフェッショナル育成プロジェクト」に取り組んでいます。2025年度は建築分野に焦点を当て、国際シンポジウムやキュレトリアル・ワークショップを実施します。
本シンポジウム「建築キュレーションを建ちあげる」では、国際的に活躍する建築専⾨のディレクターやキュレーターを迎え、⽇本では語られる機会の少ない建築展のキュレーションに関する最新動向や視点を紹介します。さらに、森美術館で「藤本壮介の建築︓原初・未来・森」が開催中の藤本壮介⽒を交え、建築展が現代社会の課題にどのようにアプローチできるのか、⽇本における建築展のキュレーションの位置付けや発展の可能性、その確⽴に向けた⼟台作りなどについて議論を深めます。

International Symposium “Building Architectural Curation”

The Mori Art Museum is currently engaged in the Global Art Professionals Development Project, with the aim of nurturing mid-career and young curators based in Japan. In 2025, we are focusing on the field of architecture, and holding an international symposium and curatorial workshop.
The symposium entitled “Building Architectural Curation” will bring together internationally-active directors and curators specializing in architecture to introduce the latest trends and ideas in the curation of architectural exhibitions, a topic rarely discussed in Japan.
Additionally, we will be joined by Sou Fujimoto, whose solo exhibition, The Architecture of Sou Fujimoto: Primordial Future Forest, is currently on view at the Mori Art Museum, to discuss how architectural exhibitions can approach the challenges of contemporary society, as well as the position and potential for development of architectural exhibition curation in Japan, and how to lay the foundations for its establishment.
