■時代は「アート思考」を求めている
不確実性が高まる時代に新しい価値を生み出すために、ビジネスにおけるアートの重要性が認識されています。

かつてビジネスで重要視された「論理思考（ロジカル・シンキング）」では既存の課題解決しかできず、限界があると言われてきたため、それに代わるフレームワークが模索されてきました。

そして今、これまでビジネスとは無縁と思われてきた、自分の「直感」や「感性」が大切だと言われる「アート思考」の時代に突入しました。
既にある問題の解決や、まだ顕在化していない人々のニーズを探るのではなく、全く新しいものを見出すことが必要だということで、「アート思考」が注目され始めているのです。

ビジネスにアートを取り入れる方法が模索され、企業や組織はアーティストをどのように活用していくかを経営課題として捉えています。また、一般のビジネスパーソンも、美術館に足を運び、美術鑑賞をビジネスに生かそうとする人々が増えてきているのです。

■アーティストの物の見方や考え方から学ぶ

多くの人にとってアートは才能ある一部の人がのものという印象が強いでしょう。

しかし、今回のスピーカーであるNir Hindi氏は著書『世界のビジネスリーダーがいまアートから学んでいること』において、アーティストの創造的発想法は遺伝的なものではなく、開発することができるものだと述べています。

本セミナーでは、一般のビジネスパーソンがアート思考を身につける方法を、来日するHindi氏との議論を通じて考えます。Hindi氏は拠点とするスペインで欧州トップクラスのIEビジネススクールで講師を務めるだけでなく、日本企業の研修も多く行っています。

モデレーターは、世界に通用するビジネスや政策のプロフェッショナルを育成する「Vital Japan」を主宰する小田康之氏。これまでグローバルビジネスの第一線で活躍するスピーカーとビジネスパーソンをモデレーターとして橋渡しをしてきました。

Facing a time of uncertainty, art is getting attention from the business world as people seek ways to generate innovative new ideas.

"Logical Thinking" which is a framework that used to dominate the business world has its limit as it only enables people to solve visible problems. 

Now, people are turning to "Art Thinking" as the importance of intuition and sensitivity is gaining weight. Instead of solving existing problems and uncovering the potential needs, companies are seeking to create new services and goods and that is why they are turning to artistic mindset. 

Artistic mindset may be perceived as "irrelevant" to ordinary people because it is taken for granted that the skills required in business can't come from the arts.

However, Mr. Nir Hindi, the author of a book "Renaissance of Renaissance Thinking" – a new paradigm in management", claims differently: Art is a way of thinking, not necessarily a way of doing. It is this way of thinking that is needed for business which are looking to innovate.

Mr. Hindi is devoted to fostering Renaissance Thinking – combining art with engineering, science, and technology. He believes that traditional education won't help managers lead and develop in the current environment; to succeed, originality and creative thinking are essential. 

He especially advocates the connection between artistic talent and business entrepreneurship, two areas that fuel each other and provide endless opportunities for mutual learning.

At this semninar, participants will discuss with Mr. Hindi how business professionals can acquire artistic mindset. Mr. Hindi not only teaches at IE Business School, one of the top business schools in Europe, but also hold workshops at Japanese companies for employee training.

With moderation by Mr. Yasu Oda, we will discuss how business professionals can train themselves to have artistic mindset and ultimately unleash their natural creativity.
