計測展とは？   
　ものづくりにおける「計測」と「制御」の技術的位置づけは、近年その重要性を増しています。機械がエレクトロニクス化し、さらにインターネットを通じて“つながる産業”（Connected Industries）となっていく時に、自動車や電子機器などが置かれたリアルな状況をセンサーによって正確に把握し、データをクラウドに集約したり、結果をフィードバックするために、計測・制御技術がIoT（モノのインターネット）を支える重要なソリューションになってきたからです。

　計測展は、一般社団法人日本電気計測器工業会(JEMIMA)が主催する展示会として1955年に初開催し、東京・大阪で交互に隔年開催されるようになり、大阪開催は15回目となりました。

　その中で、大阪開催の計測展は、地域性を生かしながら焦点を絞った展示会として、東京とは性格を異にしながら発展してきました。特徴の1つである地域性とは、西日本には繊維、家電、化学などの優れた製造業が多く、企業のみならず関西系の学会・官公庁も東京とは違う枠組みや伝統を生かして活動しています。また、もう1つの特徴である焦点を絞った展示会とは、これまでも最新の技術潮流を発信する展示会でありたいという強い信念をもって発展してきたことです。

This environment makes Connected Industries, where sensing the auto and electronic instrument accurately, aggregating data on the cloud computers and feedback the outcomes is indispensable. Measurement and control have together grown to be the ley solutions for the world of IoT.

Measurement and Control Show organized by Japan Electric Measuring Instruments Manufacturers' Association reaches 50th times this year. The exhibition in Osaka reaches 15 th times after the exhibition started changing the venue between Tokyo and Osaka every each year.

Measurement and Control Show 2018 OSAKA has been developed uniquely with regional features and as more focused exhibition. In Western Japan there exist excellent companies in the textiles, home electronics and chemical industry. On top of private sectors, academic society and government offices operate with different schemes and traditions from Tokyo’s. That is the fact that we call regional features. When we say “focused”, we are proud of the history that we have had strong faith in nurturing the exhibition to be the beacon of new technology trends.
