We will hold #SVFT meetup on Monday, 13th July in Shibuya with Box ex-Principal Architect Florian Jourda. 

(7/13月に元Box Principal ArchitectのFlorian Jourdaを招いてミートアップを開催します。)

Florian is a first engineer and 7th employees of Box. He lead critical technical projects while the company went from 7 to 1300+ employees.Contributed continuously to the building of Box culture and of all best practices of Box engineering management.

(Florianはクラウドストレージサービスとして有名なBoxの最初のエンジニアであり、７番目の社員で彼の入社後の８年で社員数は1300人が増加し、多数のプロジェクトをリードして来ました。その間のエンジニアの組織作りにも従事して来ました。)

His Project

- Box Notes (realtime collaborative document editing)

- Box desktop sync client

- Data access layer: ORM, MySQL optimization, caching strategy (memcached), and sharding

- MVC frameworks on client and server side (notably realtime object updates)

- Permission framework dealing with Box complex business logic

- Box File System

- Box API platform

- Test automation and CI systems
