Event Description

Morning Pitch is a platform hosted by Deloitte. This platform helps start-ups form business alliances and partnerships with large corporations, corporate venture capital and venture capital firms. The theme of each Morning Pitch is defined in advance and changes monthly.

Morning Pitch is organized by Deloitte Tohmatsu Venture Support. The event originates from Japan where it has served as a similar platform for over four years, resulting in M&A’s and IPO’s.

The energy we use in industry to separate chemicals mixtures account for 10–15% of the world’s total energy consumption. Chemical separations of organic liquids rely on energy-intensive distillation and evaporation separations, simply because of the energy used in heating and cooling these liquid mixtures. SEPPURE creates a new generation of chemically-resistant nano-filters which does not use heat, decreases energy consumption by 90%, and produces higher quality products. Our technology would revolutionize chemical separation and purification in vegetable oil, pharmaceutical, and petrochemical industries by reducing the energy cost and pollution substantially. This technology has been developed for 4 years at the National University of Singapore using a S$10M grant funded by the National Research Foundation of Singapore which is being commercialized by SEPPURE. helps companies create ad-hoc inspection apps to collect and manage inspection data, visualize collected data on top of satellite or drone maps and apply visual machine learning models to inspection photos taken.

Inspection teams can be directed to specific locations on a map with detailed case instructions and can report back their findings and work results to a map-based project dashboard. Machine learning is then applied to expedite the report summary write-up.

Insectta is an insect farming entity. As the first urban insect farm in Singapore rearing the Black Soldier Fly, our goal is to make South East Asia’s farming practices more sustainable by creating a circular economy system. Nature is abound with all kinds of creatures who play a huge role in our ecosystem; many unseen and unheard, like insects and micro-organisms. Harnessing their power, we want to create a bigger, brighter future with the smallest of creatures.

WhatsHalal ensures that each stage in the life cycle of a food item or product, it can be established with certainty the conditions that the item was produced. Integrating Halal traceability in the food chain follows similar principles, and is greatly improved by Blockchain technology. This ensures that the movements of an ingredient or product can be tracked even as it changes hands. Enterprise customers who wish to go Halal simply need to initiate the application on our blockchain platform, and several smart contracts will determine the assurance process, working in collaboration with consultants, labs and certification bodies.

Karana is the Asian food brand of the future focused on re-inventing iconic Asian products to be indulgent, healthy, plant based and sustainable. To do this we are innovating around abundantly available and biodiverse regional ingredients to enhance their naturally meat like textures and and blending them with innovative food technologies to create great tasting Asian favourites. In a nutshell we’re natural meets innovation.
